  1. Attack the problem, not the person
  2. Resolve the problem soon
  3. No name calling
  4. Eliminate ‘you always’ or ‘you never’
  5. Speak in the present about the future
  6. Never threaten ’if you don’t…..’
  7. Don’t be obsessed about winning the argument. It can be a win, win situation for both parties
  8. Winning words ‘I’m sorry, I was wrong, Forgive me’
